I did my Masters in Creative Writing at Birkbeck, focusing on short story-writing, screenwriting and poetry. I’m 68,000 words into writing my first novel, have finished a screenplay, and volunteer to teach poetry to young women in Kabul who aren’t allowed to go to school or university. 

I was a regular columnist for The Times — writing anonymously about my family life. I have also contributed regular columns to The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Red and The Telegraph.
